Drills Practise
Drills practise is important in the development of an athlete. To make an athlete bio-mechanically sound they must do drills practise.
Some drills that can develop positive bio-mechanics are;
- A skips
A skips are used to develop and encourage proper sprint mechanics a demonstration of A-Skips can be seen bellow.

B skips are used to focus on the large range of motion sprinters face and the explosive action.

Other skill activities that can be completed are;
- High knees
and
- Grape vine
Modified/small sizes games
In training there is shortening of and modification of runs, this is the break down of a 100 or 200m race into phases, a section of one of these races will be chosen, and the the athlete will work on this phase of his/her run until they have it down pat. These phases are working individually.
